Course outline

Language classes take place in the mornings, Monday to Friday, in the form of four 45-minute lessons, for a total of 20 lessons per week. Our team of qualified and experienced teachers provide engaging and intriguing lessons. The small number of students in each class (average 12) ensures that each learner gets the necessary care and attention needed to progress. Each study week will be themed around a topic with students focusing on various areas of language acquisition and immersive learning.

During the application process you will need to let us know your current level in the language you have chosen, then upon arrival at camp you will take a short speaking assessment. With your teacher’s agreement, you can change your level group within the first two days of class. We welcome all students, from beginner to advanced speaker.

Teaching methods

Teachers are encouraged to use flexible and diverse teaching methods and techniques. Classes will be fun and engaging whilst ensuring students are learning and progressing in their studies. The lessons are based around language acquisition and immersive learning, meaning students will acquire specific language skills and then be given the chance to use them in real life situations. Our curriculum focuses on a range of topics and uses predominantly speaking, listening and reading. Each morning of classes ends with a project hour that allows students to collaborate across levels and even languages. The result of the project hour each week will be presented by students on Friday and serves as a reminder and evidence of the progress made each week.
